It's time to take a look at the best high yield dividend stocks for the month of September 2021. I ran my screener for the month and found 23 high yield dividend stocks that passed all the minimum requirements. The high yield dividend stocks were further ranked based on their metrics and will be presented in the ranking order. The average dividend yield of the September watchlist is 3.31%. 14 of these high yield dividend stocks are undervalued right now based on dividend yield theory. The watchlist from August returned 1.81% last month and finished slightly below VYM and SPY. In this episode I want to take a look at 7 dividend ETFs that all pay a dividend yield above 3% and determine which one might be the best ETF for you! I started with a list of over 200 ETFs that all pay a dividend. I narrowed this list down by dividend yield, threw out the ETFs that had large expense ratios and all the alternative and complex strategies. I was left with 12 of the best dividend ETFs of which 5 had a global or intarnational focus. I decided to narrow in on the 7 dividend ETFs with a focus on US companies. I decided to see how the top 10 most undervalued dividend aristocrats and the top 10 dividend aristocrats based on expected growth are doing in August thus far. I originally posted these two strategies in the June undervalued dividend aristocrat update. As we are almost through August and its almost time to start looking at the best dividend aristocrats for September, here is a glimpse of how both strategies and NOBL are doing. I believe both strategies can outperform NOBL in the long term, however any self selection of stocks is always a riskier gamble vs. investing in an index.
