This somatic meditation is an invitation to explore a gentler (and more effective) way of working with your thoughts. 🌸
In a somatic approach to cognitive distortions, we do things differently. Instead of trying to challenge or replace difficult thoughts, we slow down and feel the feelings beneath them.
Painful or looping thoughts don’t begin in the mind. They’re signals from deeper within, echoes of old emotions and experiences that never had the safety to be fully felt. 💗
When we tend to the feelings beneath our thoughts with gentleness and compassion, the body feels safer, the mind no longer needs to distort reality to protect us from pain, and the old emotions can begin to release.
Using a body-centered emotional processing technique called Regenerating Images in Memory (RIM®), this meditation gently guides you beneath the surface of your thoughts to connect with what your body is holding, bringing relief, clarity, and a deep sense of inner understanding. 🌿
