In the second half of this two part episode (please listen to episode 170 first!), we continue our discussion on the topic of filler complications. 

Dr Decates is a Cosmetic Physician who specialises in cosmetic complications. He works at the Erasmus University Hopsital where he and his colleagues run the only filler complications centre in the world. He has undertaken formal research in the field and completed his PhD in 2021 entitled, 'The origin of soft tissue filler adverse events'. 

We cover: - classifying lumps that patients present with

- what symptoms patients complain of when they have a lump

- The term ‘delayed onset nodule’

- How Dr Decates examines and investigates a lump when assessing a patient referred with a complication

- The role of ultrasound when diagnosing what a filler lump is
