Brandon Butler and Nathan “Shags” McLeod sit down with Pat Kalmerton co-owner and operator of Wolf Pack Adventures LLC, Pat guides clients from around the globe on Lake Michigan, its tributaries and inland waters. 

Pat grew up in Sheboygan County, Wis., learning to hunt and fish under the instruction of his father, Roy. By age 12, Pat was first-mating on charter boats; by 20, he'd earned his USCG Captain's license. Pat quickly developed a reputation as an expert angler and hunter with abilities beyond his years, partially due to the lessons in conservation biology and sportsmen's ethics that his father stressed as necessary to become a "complete outdoorsman." Today, Pat is also involved in the design and promotion of today's best fishing and hunting products. Whether it's through TV, radio, fishing and hunting magazines, educational seminars or sharing the day's adventure with clients, Pat considers it a privilege to share his knowledge and passion for the outdoors with others.

Peterson Outdoors Ministries' (POM) mission is to provide faith based outdoor recreational therapy for injured and recovering Veterans, and their families, as well as youth and adults with disabilities or terminal illness.

It was founded in 2006 to provide hope, healing, and restoration for veterans, and their families, as well as those with disabilities and serious illness. With an emphasis on veterans, and those with disabilities, Peterson Outdoors Ministries has expanded its outreach to include First Responders, Military Chaplains, Gold Star and Blue Star Families.

The State of Utah filed suit against the United States– and 13 states supported it– claiming the federal government unconstitutionally holds more than 18.5 million unappropriated acres of public land in the state. At the same time, Utah launched a multipronged advertising campaign to convince people that this is a good idea.

Let’s be clear: this is about the potential disposal and selloff of our public lands, which would forever remove our ability to use these lands and carry on outdoor traditions. That means that if Utah were to prevail, the very idea of public lands in the United States could come crashing down. It’s time for Americans to defend one of our nation's best ideas - public lands!
