For a brief time in the late 1990s, Lou Pearlman was one of the most powerful people in the music industry. As the impresario behind the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and the inimitable O-Town, he lived a gilded, glamorous life that was a world away from his modest upbringing in Queens. Unfortunately, he was also a conman who perpetrated the biggest Ponzi scheme in American history. And his behavior around fame-hungry teenage boys was… questionable. Lou Pearlman was a complicated man. But most of all, he was Art Garfunkel’s cousin. Enjoy!
