In this special edition of the View, Dr. Eagle talks with Dharam J. Kumbhani MD, SM, FFACC, MACC, Philippe Gabriel Steg MD, and Payal Kohli MD about four of the major trials that were presented on Day 1 of the ESC Congress in Amsterdam on Friday, August 25. The trials include COP-AF (0:40), exploring colchicine for the prevention of perioperative atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing thoracic surgery, BIOFLOW DAPT (3:18), a prospective, randomized, multicenter study to assess the safety of the Orsiro Mission stent compared to the Resolute Onyx stent in subjects at high risk for bleeding in combination with 1-month dual antiplatelet therapy, STEP HFpEF (7:18), evaluating the targeting of therapy in patients with the obesity phenotype with patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, and SHARE (10:26), looking at antiplatelet therapy after PCI.
