The problem occurs when it becomes obsessive. An eating disorder is a serious illness that causes extreme changes in your eating behavior and how you perceive food in general. According to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, it's estimated that eating disorders affect over 11 million people in the United States. Eating disorders don't seem to be talked about as much, but there is still a major hidden epidemic among men and women who suffer in silence.
