Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Winona Ryder in their prime goth phase. This picture is an excellent look on what it's like to be an outsider trying to fit in with a "normal" family and all of the things that can go both right and wrong. There is a beautiful score provided by Danny Elfman, and some excellent performances by the supporting cast. It's a dark fairy tale classic.
