The enticement of the personal growth world is full of half-baked promises of "be more spiritual, be more awake, be more enlightened and you'll know what to do, you'll be guided, you'll be better, more content, more happy, more more more, oh and by the way, give me money and I'll show you how". This is simply not true. More peaceful? Maybe. More alert, aware, awake? Definitely. But the promise of the big fat cookie at the end of all your work is simply ego keeping you from waking up. Don't buy into this BS! What has being awake got to do with happiness? What has being aware got to do with success, or clarity, or direction, or purpose? Its just more stress, more grafting, more "I/this am/is not enough".
