Reiki Radio Podcast

Happy October, beautiful alchemist! This month, we’re exploring the rhythm of relationship…and no, I’m not only talking about romantic relationships. We’re in relationship with everything! This includes our thoughts, emotions, bodies, environments, other people, past experiences, desires…and, of course, ourselves. One of the most interesting aspects of this is recognizing how we are in relationship to all of it.

In this month’s Energy of the Month, we explore the movement from Libra into Scorpio and what these energies can help us recognize about balance, harmony, transformation and the parts of ourselves we’re ready to understand differently.

I’m also sharing insights from the Threshold, Sun and Lemniscate cards, which are part of The Energetic Alchemist Oracle. While the cards help expand clarity around navigation, we’ll also consider the lemniscate as a higher expression of the scales. So, instead of trying to perfectly “balance” opposing sides, what happens when we learn to create coherence and movement between them? This is all a part of life expressed in motion, and October gives us plenty to work with!

We’ll look at the month’s astrology, relationships, emotional patterns, shadow, intuition, transformation and the opportunities we have to reclaim wisdom from what we’ve already experienced. If you’ve been noticing changes in yourself, relationships, or the way you’re responding to life lately, there may be more happening beneath the surface than you realize.

And if these are the kinds of conversations that make you want to grab your notebook and go even deeper, this is exactly the territory we explore in The Alchemy Circle: https://yewchi.teachable.com/p/the-alchemy-circle-2027-energetic-alchemy111

For those of you feeling pulled toward the Oracle, symbolism and developing greater trust in how you intuitively recognize energy, Alchemy of the Seeker and Alchemy of the Oracle begin soon, too: https://yewchi.teachable.com/p/alchemy-of-the-oracle

For now, grab your journal, settle in, and consider: What is your current rhythm of relationship teaching you about yourself?

Happy 13th Birthday, Reiki Radio! You can come celebrate with me online for this month's Activation Circle (download the app), or at the 2nd Annual Awakening Conference! But for now, let's explore your practice, your path...and the energy of September.

Before we get into the energy of this month, I'm also sharing my thoughts on how spiritual and energy-work teachings vary through perspective and how direct practice and personal experience are more important than debating who is right or wrong.

Then we'll cover September’s essence of refinement through Virgo season, the teachings of the Mystic oracle card, and key astrology dates including the new moon in Virgo, the autumn equinox, and the full moon in Aries.

Kelly Kolodney is a spiritual teacher and intuitive guide who has spent nearly four decades helping people better understand themselves, manage emotional overwhelm, and reconnect with clarity and purpose. Her work began in 1989 after a deeply personal spiritual experience on Thanksgiving that she describes as opening an ongoing connection with Archangel Raphael, known in spiritual traditions as the angel of healing.

Her approach centers on helping people slow down mentally, release emotional stress, and shift limiting thought patterns through guided meditations and what she calls “light code” transmissions. Her work emphasizes self-love, energy healing, and ascension, guiding individuals toward unity consciousness rather than separation, division, or polarity. The intention is to support people in feeling more grounded, clear, and connected to themselves in a practical, lived way.

With more than 111,000 followers across social platforms, Kelly offers private readings that support personal transformation, emotional healing, and spiritual growth. Her work feels especially relevant right now as many people navigate uncertainty, burnout, and a search for meaning, and look for tools that support emotional resilience and inner stability. Through live online sessions, courses, group experiences, and private guidance, she offers a blend of meditation, reflection, and intuitive development designed to be accessible even for those new to spiritual concepts.

Kelly has shared her work on platforms including Next Level Soul, Just Tap In, Inspired Evolution as well as the TV platform Gaia, where she speaks about emotional healing, intuition, and navigating change.

Happy July, Alchemist! Get comfortable and let’s reflect on the transition from June’s Gemini-to-Cancer seasons, dancing between mind and emotion, encouraging curiosity, balance, and self-awareness.

July continues in Cancer (moon-ruled) before shifting into Leo (sun-ruled), highlighting the luminaries and moving us through feelings, into illumination. There will be emphasis on self-nurturing, redefining love/home/family, and consciously managing mind and emotions.   The month’s oracle teacher is the Flight card, building on June’s Lemniscate theme of harmonizing polarities to dissolve self-imposed limits so that we can now take flight.

Key dates include:
Neptune retrograde in Aries, 7/7–12/12, prompting subconscious clarity
Activation Circle on 7/12, plus a Sun–Mercury conjunction in Cancer for reflection and intuitive insights
Cancer NEW supermoon, 7/14, for intentional emotional seed-planting and self-care
Leo season beginning 7/22, moving towards creativity, passion and being seen
Mercury stationing direct on 7/23, supporting clarity of mind
Lunar nodes shifting to Aquarius–Leo on 7/26 through 2028, emphasizing “I” versus “we,”
7/29 featuring a Sun–Jupiter cazimi in Leo, described as a lucky day, PLUS a full moon in Aquarius to balance self-expression with community

Welcome back to the origins of Reiki Radio’s original focus, applying Reiki and related practices to real life. Interviews will continue only as live “Happy Hour” episodes on Fridays at 4:00 PM Pacific on Reiki Radio’s YouTube channel.

I'm sharing why I stayed with this work for over 15 years, how Reiki deepened my self-knowledge, expanded my studies (intuition, psychic development, Hermeticism, Akashic records, astrology, etc), and inspired me to help others prioritize their own healing and purpose.

I'm also reflecting on how we're living in a time of influence, highlighting the traditional term, Reiki Shihan (good example), and a call to live the principles through everyday actions.
Please email me your questions to shape future episodes, sign up for my newsletter, and download The Energetic Alchemist app (free Activation Circle on June 14th).

A year ago, Awakening Airwaves began as an idea rooted in connection, curiosity, consciousness, and the desire to create meaningful conversations around spiritual practices. What none of us could have fully anticipated was the incredible community that would grow around it, and TODAY we celebrate our 100th episode together.

Over the last year, Awakening Airwaves has become home to conversations exploring Astrology, Reiki, Tarot and Oracle work, Akashic Records, goddess wisdom, crystals, energetic healing, expanding consciousness, intuitive development, spiritual awakening, and the many ways people are learning to reconnect with themselves more deeply. More than anything, this platform has become a reminder that awakening does not happen alone. It happens through shared experiences, conversations, and all that inspires self-recognition.

We are deeply grateful to every single person who has listened, commented, shared episodes, joined live conversations, and supported these incredible women and their work over the last year. Your presence, curiosity, and participation matters to us more than you can imagine.

In this conversation, Mama Mut Ra-t, a contributor to Mama Ifetayo’s anthology, Reiki Heart and Soul: Many Stories, One Bright Light, shares her story “The Journey of a Generational Cycle Breaker” Her story reflects on early childhood in New Orleans, her mother’s passing when she was eight, being moved to Brooklyn under strict church rules, later learning her father had died, and ultimately reclaiming her freedom and independence. She describes a dark night of the soul in her early 30s after divorce and becoming a “happy, healthy parent”.

Mut Ra-t is a dedicated advocate for women’s wellness and empowerment, with a rich background in holistic self-care and community support. Raised in a nurturing environment surrounded by strong woman, Mut Ra-t’s journey of self-discovery and womb wellness began early in life. She deepened her understanding through rites of passage with Queen Afua and ancient practices with the Shrine of Khepera. As a doula, she witnessed firsthand the profound impact of self-care and communal support on woman’s health. Inspired by the book, “The Red Tent,” Mut Ra-t and her tribe of Wombkeepers created sacred spaces for woman to connect, share and heal though, Pink, Red, and Purple Tents. Her mission is to transform homes into Moon Lodges, where woman and girls are supported by their families as Wombkeepers, fostering a culture of open communication and holistic care. Mut Ra-t is committed to spreading this practice globally though her writings, consultations, and community facilitation.

Years after our initial conversation, I reconnect with Tonya Parker, a contributor to “Reiki Heart and Soul,” to discuss how her relationship with Reiki shifted into something she embodies, crystallizing during her 2020 training with Frans Stiene. Tonya shares many inspiring ways of seeing and understanding healing. Her message speaks to the hearts of healers and to the depths of our wounds.

Rev. Tonya Parker, MEd, EdS is the Founder and Creatrix of Mind Body & Soul Food, a holistic wellness and conscious healing practice devoted to nourishing women’s lives from the inside out. With more than three decades of experience as a psychotherapist, educator, healer, and spiritual teacher, Tonya bridges ancestral wisdom and modern restorative practices to support deep, sustainable well-being.

Through offerings rooted in mind, body, soul, and food, she creates sacred spaces for restoration, self-remembrance, and embodied leadership. Her work integrates Reiki, meditation, retreats, mindful nourishment, reflective writing, and community-based healing, inviting women to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with their truth.

As a self-identified W.I.T.C.H. (Woman In Tune with Conscious Healing), Tonya teaches from lived practice, guiding women to heal generational patterns, reclaim their voices, and rise as conscious leaders in their lives and communities.
