Kevin Dobson, Founder and Executive Director of Capital College & Career Academy (CCCA) shares his passion for genuine education for kids that have been traditionally said you can get education for either college or trade school, not both. That was a real problem for countless youth at the crossroads to their future careers. CCCA is an innovative charter high school dedicated to bridging the gap between industry and education, with a strong focus on empowering youth. Kevin Dobson brings a wealth of experience in education management, teaching, and leadership with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education, a Masters in Education focused on technology in the classroom, and an MEd in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. He is well-equipped to create and lead an innovative and refreshing approach to education for future construction industry change-makers.

We dug into the mission and vision of CCCA. Designed to open its doors in the fall of 2023, CCCA targets students who are the first in their families to pursue higher education. By eliminating the traditional "college or career" dichotomy, CCCA aims to provide students with both academic and career-focused opportunities, empowering them to excel in their chosen paths. Kevin's passion for empowering youth shines through as he shares insights into the unique educational model and approach of CCCA. Together, we explore the school's commitment to integrating industry practices and providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today's dynamic workforce.
