I believe that effort is a learned response. And, I believe this principle holds true for both horses and people. While some people and horses naturally give more effort than others, I believe that the amount of effort put forth always has a direct relationship to the expectations that have been set.
It is easy to wake up every morning and talk yourself out of doing the things that are uncomfortable or difficult. Those who are willing to put forth the effort and make themselves uncomfortable are the ones who I admire. And, luckily, I find myself surrounded by more and more of these people everyday.
Tune into this episode as I share some recent experiences from our 2021 clinic series, and how these experiences demonstrate the relationship between effort and potential.
