On this episode, co-host Katy Starr and guest co-host, Dr. Stephen Duren, PhD, MS, PAS, visit with guest veterinarian, Dr. Jerry Billquist. From being an equine veterinarian in the military, doctoring a surprising predator species in Turkey, being the personal equine vet for Cloyce Box who played professional football with the Detroit Lions in the 50s, working with the Montana Racing Circuit, becoming the 2017 PRCA Veterinarian of the Year and heading back down to the hill country in Texas to continue to do what he loves - his life experiences and travels as a veterinarian will entertain and teach you. 

Dr. Billquist has been to a lot of places, seen a lot of cases, and he is always willing to help up and coming vet students and veterinarians getting their start in the industry. Dr. Duren and Dr. Billquist also discuss the number one thing equine practitioners treat and how horses owners can create a positive relationship with their veterinarian. We’re humbled to celebrate World Veterinary Day with him.
