Gary and his wife Kim started their teaching careers in Vegas but quickly realized they could earn much more in their native home in Alaska. Because of their hire date, they were able to teach 20 years in AK and immediately draw on their pensions, netting them 6k per month. Retirees before the age of 50, they searched for the perfect retirement home and settled in northern AZ.

In "retirement", Gary is an Alaskan trail guide for a portion of the year and Kim just accepted a job at the local college. The couple just became net worth millionaires (including home) but are working toward 1 million+ in liquid assets.
