Background:  Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, a small city just outside Boston. Enlisted in the US Air Force and spent 4.5 years in Germany before returning home for school.

Work: I've been flying with NOAA since 2002, and have flown into Hurricanes 123 times, while also flying many other types of weather. I'm currently the Chief of Science for our center (NOAA's Aircraft Operations Center, aka NOAA's Hurricane Hunters).
