In today's episode, I'm sharing one of my most popular relationship tools that helps couples reduce the amount of arguing in their relationship significantly. I call this tool - Don't Jump in the Pool, because it conjures up an image that can be called upon when people in your life are having big emotions.
When someone close to you is feeling big emotions and you are in the crosshairs, you always have options. You can choose to participate in those big emotions, usually making the situation worse, or you can stay calm and collected and wait for those big emotions to subside. Either choice is fine, but one will almost always give you a better outcome.
