Kate North is Vice President of Workplace Innovation at Colliers International and the Global Chair of the Workplace Evolutionaries at IFMA where she is helping to build a community of practitioners, strategists and innovators that strive to “be the change” in the workplace. Mike Petrusky asks Kate to share her background story and passion for finding the connection between design and how it impacts people. Believing that workplace is a tool for transformational change, Kate encourages senior leaders to think about the workplace as a tool to attract, retain, and engage the people in their organizations. Kate and Mike agree that having a holistic view of the workplace is essential as we must be willing to step out of our comfort zone and seek to collaborate across disciplines to drive innovation. They discuss the plans for the Workplace Evolutionaries community at IFMA’s World Workplace 2018 and give us a preview of the excitement, education (and singing) that will take place in Charlotte this October!
