Becky and Rusty were a typical middle class family with a duplex and their single-family home.  Becky was a music teacher (public and private), while Rusty worked at the local paper mill near Roanoke Rapids (NC). As a family, their average gross salary per year ranged from 100k-125k per year. 

In part I, we talk about how the couple who has been married for 26 years met, their roles in the workplace, raising 3 kids, and how being a teacher can position you to make an even bigger impact with rental properties in the town you teach in. We also dive into their drive to learn more about the stock market and invest their time, money and energy into learning more, turning some family pain into gain.
