Happy summer, my podcast friends! This season is chock-full of amazing guests, solo episodes, and timely truths to keep us always going THERE.
Let's start this season with a touchy topic: our bodies. With the northern hemisphere donning sun dresses, sleeveless tops, and skimpy bathing suits, this is the PERFECT time to talk about issues plaguing our society. And for the men listening to this podcast, don't act like you are exempt. If research is true, roughly 75% of men wrestle with body shame or body dysmorphia. So listen up, friends: It's high time we start talking about what we don't like to talk about.
Today on the show, I'm talking with Jess Connolly, writer, dreamer, barre instructor, and author of Breaking Free from Body Shame.
Friends, I believe that we've all struggled with everything from:
Body image
Overeating
Dieting
Emotional eating
Biblical view on eating
My hope isn't that we walk away with a false sense of magically being free from body shame, but that we at the very least, celebrate the beauty created by a Master Artist.
