Alisha was born in Miami, FL and has lived in 5 countries, 10 states and 30 cities. She attended BYU-Hawaii and BYU, receiving a BA in English Literature. She loves languages, speaking Spanish, and having studied Japanese, German, Russian, Hebrew and Samoan. She loves traveling and learning about other cultures.

Alisha is also musically gifted, writing songs and creating videos on her Laughing Moms and JAMilyTV channels. Her content has over 50 million views. She also recently published her first children's book "Between the Clouds: A Droplet's Divine Adventure". 

Alisha and her husband Joe have 4 daughters, Zarahemla, Evangeline, Amaryllis, and Magnolia, who are her greatest treasures. She believes in Christ and would be nothing without him.
