Egg quality is an under-appreciated key to successful pregnancy. Containing half of a pregnancy's DNA, it can make or break the outcome. Women approaching or over the age of 40 hear about it's importance all the time. But can we do anything to improve the quality of our eggs?? Dr. Elisa Yao says YES, and shares with us risk factors for reduced egg quality and ways to improve egg quality in the next few months. This is a VERY informative episode with very practical take aways, that I know you'll love.
Dr. Elisa Yao has a wholistic fertility telemedicine clinic in California where she helps couples get pregnant naturally by searching for and addressing the root causes of fertility issues. She graduated from UC Berkeley with Phi Beta Kappa honors, majoring in Molecular Cell Biology, and completed her medical training at UC Davis School of Medicine. She continued her education to become a Naprotechnology OBGYN in addition to a Function Medicine Doctor.
NOTE: This episode is appropriate for all audiences, and does include the word miscarriage and possible causes of miscarriage.
