Ok so you can't really time travel, but! You were once a kid and you have memories from way back then...now as a father, you have the perspective of what you would have liked as a kid.  With that knowledge, you can apply it to your own kiddos lives.  What would you have liked done when you were a kid?  Now you have an opportunity to implement those things or similar for your kiddos.
