Q: What is ableism?
A: Ableism is discrimination and social prejudice against people with disabilities and/or people who are perceived to be disabled.
How one-size fits all personal development messages can affect people with ADHD or other mental conditions:
1) Make people feel like there’s something inherently wrong with them because they can’t “Just do it”
2) Pushes people to do things in one way instead of allowing for numerous ways
3) Doesn’t allow people to be in tune with their intuitions or needs
4) Doesn’t take into account that people are diverse
