If you've ever struggled to build a routine (in general, a "morning" routine, a personal development routine, etc.) then this episode is for you.
On this episode we chat about:
1) Why it's had for ADHDers to start a routine and stick with it
2) Why routines are important for ADHDers
3) Why the trendy or typical "successful people" routines don't always work
4) How you can build a sustainable routine for your ADHD brain
Want to build a sustainable routine? Here are today's tips:
1) Create more than one routine- create numerous versions of your routine that fit your energy levels or time constraints
2) Use timers and visual aids to help you build the routine
3) BABY STEPS- don't try to build a big routine all at once. Build it one step at a time (and check out the book Atomic Habits by James Clear for more insight)
4) Get rid of the idea that the routine can only bein the morning and let it fall where you need it to depending on your schedule.
5) Choose what your want/need to work on and don't worry about anything else people say you should do
6) Be okay with it being just "good enough" and not "perfect"
