On this episode of Your Nutrition Prescription we are going to talk unhealthy vegans and the dangers of diet labels.
This episode was inspired by a paper published earlier this year that compared cardiovascular disease rates among a huge sample of health professionals who followed a healthy plant-based diet strategy vs. an unhealthy plant-based diet strategy vs. an animal based dietary pattern. The results are pretty shocking and they point to something that I see as a problem in the nutrition space: fixation on diet labels and dogma rather individualized science-based nutrition.
