Why would a third-generation pool builder step away from the family business to start a business of their own? Today’s guest shares his motivation for charting his own course and continuing his family’s legacy on his own terms.
Nick Hauk is the owner of Pure Design Group. He started in the pool industry when he was just 15 years old. He graduated from Oklahoma State University where he studied landscape architecture and entrepreneurship, both skills that he puts to use at his company today. After graduation, he moved back to Celina, Texas, where he helped his family business grow from 40 to 250 pool builds a year. He has since started his own boutique agency which focuses on quality over quantity.
Listen in as Nick discusses his family business, his experience on Pool Kings, what it is like working day-in and day-out with high-end clientele (and the transparency it takes to do so), and his new adventure in the world of acrylic.
