“Big Moe” Cason is a Navy veteran and the country’s undisputed king of brisket and pit master extraordinaire. 

Moe has competed in more than 250 national and international barbecue competitions and is also the author of his new best-selling cookbook, Big Moe’s Big Book of BBQ: 75 recipes from Brisket and Ribs to Cornbread and Mac and Cheese.

Moe has appeared on BBQ Pitmasters regularly from 2009 to 2018, and has also been featured on America’s PitWars, Food Network’s The Kitchen, and Chopped.

Moe and his family live in Des Moines, IA.
