We all know that resistance training is great for muscle gain and body transformation. However, the role of resistance training in healthy aging is much less recognized.
Resistance training is EXTREMELY important for older adults for several reasons. It helps improve balance, improve bone mineral density, maintain cognitive function, and prevent muscle loss which helps to prevent against the development of metabolic disease and type 2 diabetes.
I want to share this information to really highlight the importance of resistance training for every population group, not just young people trying to build muscle.
