#46 - Tiffany Anton is a sex and relationships therapist from New Orleans and we first interviewed her as a part of the World Love Summit. Last month, we bumped into her again at Naughty N'awlins where she gave a talk on erectile dysfunction (ED) or as she likes to call it, erectile disappointment. ED is very common amongst adult males, with many shutting down with disappointment when they cannot achieve an erection. While it’s important to validate the importance of the erection, there is also a debate about whether we rely too heavily on hard penises for pleasure. Tiffany reflects on the potential for pleasure and orgasm without an erect penis, emphasizes the importance of open communication, reassurance, and affirmation, and shares some non-medical advice on how to combat ED. We take a closer look at how your diet can affect your sexual health, why sex toys are always a great addition, and why it is problematic to disassociate your sexual, physical, and mental health from one another. We also talk about the importance of changing the sex narrative and how we should all understand the clitoris and its importance for female pleasure and she also believes that women should start speaking up on behalf of their own pleasure. Sexual experiences can be enhanced through open communication and it’s about time we change our views about the end of sex!
