This week, for our (slightly-belated) second Halloween episode of the year, the randomizer goes all the way back to 2021 to cover a DCOM that happens to be a remake of the first DCOM to ever get branded with the official "DCOM" label. It's about a poorly-protected Egyptian mummy who comes back to life, befriends a few kids, appears in a homemade monster movie, stars in a viral dance video, runs afoul of antiquity thieves, sticks a remote to the ceiling with honey somehow, accidentally buys too much birdseed, fights off goons with an enormous ice cream cone, and eventually goes back to sleep. "Well that all sounds interesting," I hear you ask, "but by any chance does it also involve an outdated Kid 'N Play haircut and/or a villain eating octopus erotically?" Friend, you ain't gonna believe the answer. Join Tony Goldmark, Emily Clark, Zach Hurst and a Surprise Special Guest as they sign non-disclosure agreements and keep the project UNDER WRAPS (2021)! DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded and released prior to the arrest of one of its guests, Kyle Carrozza. We at Escape From Vault Disney strongly condemn Mr. Carrozza's actions and offer our deepest sympathies to his victims, and we will not be inviting him on this podcast again in the future. That said, rather than attempt to rewrite history, we have decided to leave this episode online and intact as a time capsule of when it was made. This week, for our first of two Halloween episodes of the year, the randomizer goes all the way back to 1980 to cover a made-for-TV movie that has absolutely nothing to do with Halloween and barely even has all that much to do with ghosts. In fact, if anything, the titular ghosts are just interrupting an already way too convoluted story about a rich kid, his evil gold-digging relatives and the newly gender-integrated military academy he attends for some reason. Also there's a zipline competition, an awkward sex ed class scene and the most Italian man in the world. And did I mention the ghosts are Civil War veterans? Cuz the ghosts are Civil War veterans. I know it doesn't seem possible, but the film is even less coherent than I'm making it sound. Join Tony Goldmark, Mat Brunet (aka AniMat!), Kyle A. IT'S THE ESCAPE FROM VAULT DISNEY 100TH EPISODE SPECTACULAR!!! That's right, this objectively very stupid podcast where grown-ass adults whine about children's media has finally reached triple-digits, and to celebrate, we assemble the biggest group of guests we've ever had to take on a topic chosen through an unusually-convoluted process involving the randomizer, my guests' preferences AND a Twitter poll, and in that Twitter poll my sadistic listeners made us watch a 2008 "comedy" in which - get this - DOGS TALK! Wha-wha-wha-WHAAAAAAA? Dogs aren't gifted with the power of coherent speech in REAL life! Much less the voices of such A-list celebrities as The Guy From That Thing and The Other Guy From That Other Thing! What fantastic miracles will the magic of cinema grace us mere mortals with next? Join Tony Goldmark, Sydney Agnew, Charlie Callahan, Haley Baker Callahan, Kyle A. Carrozza, Morgan Funder, David Ganssle, Nicholas Bogroff Ganssle, Michael Hunter, Zach Hurst, Kit Quinn and Luke Ski as they load up the truck and move to BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA! We're still another week away from the Escape From Vault Disney 100th Episode Spectacular, in which we cover Beverly Hills Chihuahua, but in the meantime here's the spine-shattering conclusion of a two-part interview that frequent guest Luke Ski conducted with host Tony Goldmark back in April! We talk about some of the movies on Disney+ that haven't been covered on the show yet, including an extremely lengthy digression on the merits, or lack thereof, of the infamous Cars 2. PLUS! A State of the Parks segment on the recently-announced Figment movie in development!
The Escape From Vault Disney 100th Episode Spectacular, in which we cover Beverly Hills Chihuahua, is two weeks away, and in the meantime here's part one of a two-part interview that frequent guest Luke Ski conducted with host Tony Goldmark back in April! We talk about various episodes of the show, and for some reason go off on a very long tangent about the Meatballs movies.
This week, the randomizer goes all the way back to 2008 to pick an episode of Disney Channel's smash hit sitcom that launched the massively successful pop music career of Miley Cyrus. But before she was swinging around naked on wrecking balls, she was stuck in the world's worst love triangle with the guy from High School Musical (no, not him, the other guy) and a small child who the writers decided needed to be unspeakably horny, because 2008 was a very different time when that idea was considered humorous for some appalling reason. No wonder she ended up swinging around naked on wrecking balls. Join Tony Goldmark, Morgan Funder, David Ganssle and Luke Ski as they scalp tickets to HANNAH MONTANA, season two episode twenty-nine, "We're All On This Date Together!"

Episode #99 won't be ready til sometime this weekend, but in the meantime, here's an advance clip of the end of it where my guests and I narrow down our 100th episode topic to four choices! Go VOTE in the Twitter poll! https://twitter.com/efvdpodcast/status/1570344221332353026

This week, the randomizer goes all the way back to 2005 to pick the spine-tingling conclusion of that one time some Northern California film school tech weirdo spent hundreds of millions of dollars on three movies about his most famous characters' parents. Featuring laser swords, lava battles, digital muppets, a planet full of gorilla-bears who get distressingly little screen time, tons of memes in their natural habitat, and of course the horrifyingly relevant omnipresent specter of encroaching fascism. It's our fifth and final week of Patreon Request Month 2022, and the randomizer's going all the way back to the year 2000 to pick Scott's request for a Disney Channel movie about a family of sentient alien space bubbles whose planet falls under the tyrannical rule of an evil fascist sentient alien space bubble, forcing them to flee to Earth, where they take human form somehow, subsist on root beer and fear the wind...and somehow the movie is very, very, very boring. It's Week #4 of Patreon Request Month 2022, and the randomizer's going all the way back to 2020 to pick Z. Taylor Dunkin's request for a randomly-selected batch of three episodes of the seven-minute Australian kids show about a family of talking dogs that's taken the world by storm, and endeared itself to kids and adults alike, thanks to a winning combination of refreshing sincerity, surprising emotional depth, and a level of cuteness which I'm pretty sure was outlawed by the Geneva Convention. Also more toilet jokes than you might think. Join Tony Goldmark, Rob Bergman, Emily Clark and Renie Rivas as they guess that's why they call it the BLUEY, season two, episodes seven thru nine, "Favourite Thing," "Daddy Drop-Off" and "Sleepytime!"
