"Everyone's got a shark in their story. People often want to make the story about the shark. The truth is, it's not the size of the shark that really matters. It's the strength of your Savior, and that's what our story is. It's not a shark story. It's a little boy who had big faith in an even greater God. Face your fear by faith. The key of faith always unlocks the door of fear. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." - Jameson Reeder Sr.

The Reeder family's testimony is such a powerful reminder that even the most fearsome challenges can be faced and conquered with God. Thank you, Reeder family, for allowing me to share your miracle testimony!

Trigger warning for sensitive individuals: There is a mention of Heidi's emotional, spiritual, physical and sexual abuse in this episode. There is nothing explicit or detailed, it is simply referenced. The focus of our conversation is on healing, forgiveness and hope. and I pray this testimony will encourage every listener.

Heidi Barr was 16 when she died in a horseback riding accident and came face to face with Jesus. Raised in a small Orthodox Jewish community in Iowa, her atheist father had taught her that Jesus was a hoax. Heidi was so passionate about this Jesus she encountered that she graduated early and traveled to Israel for a year. She learned Hebrew and wanted to absorb everything she could related to Jesus.

In this episode we share from her new book, What I Saw in Heaven:

• 00:00 Intro clip from Heidi's first testimony (full NDE is attached below)
• 04:12 Heidi shares how her testimony was received by her family and community
• 11:24 John Burke shares why Heidi's NDE is one of the most impactful he has received in his study of experiencers for over 35 years
• 15:35 Heidi shares more detail around the miracle healing of her physical injuries
• 22:24 Emotional, spiritual, physical and sexual abuse Heidi endured, culminating in a desperate prayer that God would let her die in a dark moment before her Jesus encounter
• 25:00 Experiencing the power of forgiveness her father at the very end of his life Reconciling her love for her Jewish culture with her new Christian beliefs
• 26:00 The deeply personal passing of her father - A powerful final message from Heidi to every listener about the living hope that we have in Jesus

Closing prayer and blessing by John Burke:

We have a LIVING HOPE in Jesus - 1 Peter 1:3-9 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

In 1989, 10-year-old Joshua Dennis went missing in Utah's Hidden Treasure Mine. Despite a massive five-day manhunt, Joshua remained unfound, trapped in the dark, cavernous mine without food, water or light. All hope may have been lost had it not been for angelic protection and guidance. In this episode I get to meet Joshua Dennis and Garrett Batty, the man who has written and directed the movie based on this miracle. Joshua and Garrett share a bit about the journey getting the testimony on the big screen, a few of the highlights and what they hope viewers will take from the film. Did Joshua suffer with injuries after the incident? He did share with me (after our recording) that he suffered from frostbite on his toes and feet briefly and there was talk about possible amputation, but praise God his feet were healed and he does not suffer long term effects. John Skinner (a major role in the film) is still alive to see this event captured on screen. Apparently he is even more shy than Joshua, but this warmed my heart to know he is able to celebrate with everyone who lived through this event. Psalm 150 Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

In this episode, Julie interviews Raeanne Newquist, who shares her family's journey of faith serving on Mercy Ships. Hear about their divine calling, incredible experiences, and life-changing miracles that unfolded aboard the hospital ship.

A few of my favorite moments in this interview:

• Raeanne shares the call to sell everything and commit to 2 years of service on a Mercy Ship
• Miracles beginning before they embarked that confirmed God's call
• A powerful prayer by the ship's captain that still reverberates with Raeanne
• An emergency alarm at 2 a.m. on the ship and the power of prayer to save a life

Dave Borrelli died on June 18th, 2022. While swimming in a pool with family, Dave experienced what doctors define as a shallow water blackout. His brother pulled his lifeless body from the bottom of the pool and was able to resuscitate him. In this episode Dave shares:

• 00:00 intro and a brief history of his faith walk
• 04:07 the events at the pool that summer day

• 11:30 a vivid dream after the incident with a message from God and seeing warriors preparing for battle

• 21:25 a Biblical and timely message about the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within each believer that will inspire every listener!

Prayer to fight fear and encouragement to walk by faith and not by sight Scripture related to this episode: Romans 8:11 NIV "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." The Bible verse "your young men will see visions" appears: Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions" Acts 2:17 "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams" John 16:7-15 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you." Steve Austin is BACK! Many of you loved his testimony in his first episode about witnessing healing miracles, his first book God Heals, and have been blessed with his prayers. He is back on the podcast today to share more miracles and insight and his new BE HEALED, a 40 day devotional to support you as you pray for healing. Steve has ministered to thousands of patients and their families for 25 years in the largest medical center in the world - Houston's Texas Medical Center. He is the Founder of Living Hope Chaplaincy and is a pastor at Lakewood Church. He has taken his years of experience and revelation and written a beautiful book, God Heals, which explains eight powerful keys to defeat sickness and receive divine healing. "I just want you to know, God loves you. God has you in the palm of his hand. You may be fighting a battle right now, but don't believe those 'never' lies. Don't believe the never lies that I'm never going to get well. I'm never going to overcome this. Just keep persevering, keep trusting God, keep doing everything that you know to keep your head up. Keep your head up looking at God and trusting in Him and exercising your faith and feeding your faith every day. And you are going to get your breakthrough miracle in Jesus name. God doesn't want to withhold it from you. He wants to give it to you, but sometimes he's doing a work in us before he does a work for us. And that's why God didn't do everything instantly because sometimes he's trying to grow our spiritual muscles and, and develop us and grow us up." - Steve Austin "I am the Lord who heals you." -Exodus 15:26 "These signs will follow those who believe: In my name...they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover." -Mark 16:17-18 (Words of Jesus) Steve's website for new devotional BE HEALED with pre-order perks!: https://www.pastorsteveaustin.com/ Where to find more on the Living Hope Chaplaincy: https://livinghopechaplaincy.com/home Steve's email: [email protected] Steve's wonderful book GOD HEALS with declarations, prayers, and so much more: https://a.co/d/5JLaFI5 Ramiro's American Idol miracle share and singing Amazing Grace: https://youtu.be/gpoobGy9Ph4?si=Ru3yzclmZ1koy4Bc
