In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the rumors that Evgeny Kuznetsov wants out of DC. The Capitals are not happy with his play and Evgeny is not happy with where he's at in the Capitals lineup. Kuzy has always been a very hot and cold ever since he came to the Caps. The Athletic: "The Caps’ decision-makers are disappointed in Kuznetsov’s season. They desperately needed him to step forward and he did not. He turns 31 in May, counts $7.8 million against the salary cap for two seasons after this one, scored no goals in October and one in January, and struggled defensively all year… I don’t know where things go from here. But something’s got to give." It's Dan belief that if he isn't happy here and not performing well, maybe he would be best served to go somewhere else. Later Dan talks about the Hershey Bears the Capitals AHL affiliate. Our Sports Central:"The Hershey Bears (38-16-5-3) clinched their 70th playoff berth in franchise history with a 4-1 victory over the Syracuse Crunch (30-24-5-3) on Saturday night at Upstate Medical University Arena." So despite the rough season the Caps are having this is a bright spot. Then Dan talks about the Capitals loss to the Penguins. The Caps were down by 3 to start the third and rallied to tie the game. Anthony Mantha then choked up the puck and the Pens won the game.
