Facts Matter

When most people think about the cybersecurity threats facing this country, it’s often things like bank accounts or social security numbers getting stolen—things isolated to the digital realm. However, more and more, it’s become clear that cyberattacks are actual real physical threats that can cause physical harm because they have the potential to target our real-world infrastructure.

The Russian government has put out multiple statements saying that they are willing and able to launch cyberattacks against the United States. And the White House, on multiple occasions over the last year, has put out statements warning the country of an imminent Russian cyberattack.

All this comes as the Biden administration released a policy document laying out the cybersecurity threats to this country, how those threats have been addressed thus far, as well as what the administration plans to do in addressing those threats moving forward within the coming year.

Right now, one of the arguments circulating online against private gun ownership is that the Second Amendment doesn’t actually give people the right to own guns.

The reason for this view is not a mystery because, within the modern context, the plain language of the Second Amendment is a little bit confusing. It states: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

It’s quite easy to look at the surface of those words and assume that the right to keep and bear arms only applies to militias, who are in the service of defending a state. And in the modern context, that’s something like a national guard.

However, that is not in fact true.

The Supreme Court ruled in District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008 that the Second Amendment does protect the people’s right to keep and bear arms.

To understand their rationale, let’s dissect the Second Amendment.

In Florida, medical freedom activists are putting more and more pressure on a certain hospital system located in the city of Sarasota. This particular hospital put out an official report that touted how awesome their response to COVID-19 was. However, these medical freedom activists, which include people who lost family members to COVID-19 at this hospital, are calling this report a “cover-up.”

They accused the hospital system of using ineffective treatments just because those treatments were directly tied to federal payouts from the CDC and NIH. Several people blamed the use of the drug remdesivir for the deaths of their family members, while several others described the process of begging the hospital to consider using alternative treatments.

Moreover, on the same day that this report was released, the hospital hosted a board meeting wherein hundreds of people from across the state came in to hear what the hospital would say about their treatments—which many people allege actually led to unnecessary deaths. However, it appears that the hospital management knew that a large crowd was coming to the event, and so they padded the audience with their own employees, who did nothing but sing praises for the treatment.

China and Russia have been stockpiling massive amounts of physical gold. However, it’s not just those two countries.

Looking across the entire world, it seems like most central banks are in the process of increasing their stockpiles of gold. In fact, according to the World Gold Council, central banks bought a record 399 tons of gold just in the third quarter of last year alone, and that’s the most recent data point that we have access to. This means that the central banks are buying up gold at the fastest pace in the last 55 years, which is notable because 55 years ago, the U.S. dollar was actually backed by gold, and most other currencies were tethered to the U.S. dollar. However, now, the U.S. dollar is backed by nothing.

Several days ago, a city council member in California was arrested on multiple felony charges of voter fraud for what he did during the 2020 election cycle. Specifically, Shakir Khan of San Joaquin County was discovered by the local sheriff’s office to be stashing at least 41 filled-in, mail-in ballots at his home, registering at least 23 people to vote using his home as their address, as well as using his email and phone number to register 47 others.

The Biden administration is in the process of finalizing a deal that would give the World Health Organization (WHO) near-total authority to dictate America’s policies during a pandemic.

Once this “legally binding” deal goes into effect, it will give the World Health Organization—the United Nations’s health agency based in Geneva—the authority to control what U.S. policies are during a pandemic.

And so, while the W.H.O. has been up until now an advisory body in Europe that U.S. officials in the CDC and the FDA can turn to for advice, it would instead become the ones to actually determine which policies the United States implements, like vaccine policies, lockdown policies, school closure policies, the contact tracing of U.S. citizens, and even the monitoring of online speech if that speech goes against the official narrative.

With February being about three-quarters of the way over, it has proven to be another wild month. In fact, since the start of the pandemic in the year 2020, it seems like these jam-packed months haven’t really let up.

Within the last 22 days, we’ve seen multiple environmental catastrophes, the U.S. Air Force shot down several “unidentified objects” that were flying over the country, and, as we near the one-year anniversary of the Ukraine-Russia, it seems like we are continuing to take more and more baby steps toward World War III.

The FBI has been using fingerprints to track unvaccinated school teachers. According to a new lawsuit, the fingerprints of unvaccinated public school teachers were tagged by the New York City government and were flagged by the Department of Justice as well as the FBI.

Due to this, these teachers who refused to take the shot were not only fired, but were also flagged by the city government with what’s known as a “problem code,” which then gets passed to the FBI automatically, and ultimately stays on their file. This flagged status on their file will ultimately impact their ability to get another job in the future. And because all New York City Department of Education employees are fingerprinted at the beginning of their careers, their file will now contain both the flag, as well as a copy of the fingerprints.

However, this situation goes way beyond just school teachers in New York City, because the CDC has recently revised their medical codes to track the unvaccinated, which they say is for clinical reasons.

Earlier this week, the residents of East Palestine were told by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that not only was everything okay, but that also, the local water was “safe to drink.” They allegedly made that determination after testing the water in several different wells that feed into the town’s municipal water system. In fact, the director of the EPA made a special trip to East Palestine to assure the public that the water was safe to drink, and to trust the government.

While what’s happening in East Palestine is devastating, what’s happening to the water and the environment in Ohio is just a much higher profile version of what the EPA has allowed to happen throughout the whole country: over the last 70 years, there has been a rise of what are known as “forever chemicals.” And whether you’re in Ohio or in a state that’s nowhere near Ohio, while the water looks okay on the surface, very likely, you are ingesting these forever chemicals just the same.

Polyfluoro-alkyl substances (PFAS) are man-made chemicals created since the 1940s that are found not only in drinking water, but also in cosmetics, food packaging, and dental floss, among thousands of other products. However, they have been found to be a lot more harmful than previously imagined, being now linked to various illnesses, cancers, reduced birth weight, and developmental challenges for children—among many other health problems.

In late January, Japanese astronomers stationed in Hawaii noticed mysterious green laser beams that were being fired over the island. The laser beams are being shot down from space overtop one of the largest mountain ranges in Hawaii.

Initially, when they first reported these beams to the public, these astronomers said that they came from a NASA satellite—they were thought to be American lasers. But just a week after their initial statement, the Japanese astronomers issued a correction saying that these green laser beams were not from a US satellite, but instead, they more likely came from a Chinese satellite.
