Seeking God‘s word for what it is to be a godly wife can seem a bit overwhelming. It’s not like the verses are all right there together, giving us the instruction that we are looking for, but rather they are spread throughout the Scriptures.

Just because we find them doesn’t mean that we fully understand how to apply them to our lives today. Many of you have questions of how do I live this out in my marriage? What does this really look like on an everyday basis?

When it comes to your relationship with your husband, what do you focus on? Is it on what needs to be done, the next task, or what it is that you would like to see changed or accomplished? We talk a lot about how to become a submissive wife and what it takes to do so. Today, we’re going to look at the blessings that we receive as we strive to become the wife that God has called us to be.

Over the last couple years in doing this podcast, through all of my research and conversations with my husband, I have learned a secret about men. It’s one that I find most wives are not aware of, however it is vital to having love, peace, and joy in your marriage relationship.

As much as we love our husbands, they can be rather frustrating. Making trying to respond to them with grace and love seem nearly impossible at times. 

We also have the concern that if we show grace by letting a rude comment or them being a bit selfish slide, that we will be forever mistreated by our husbands.

But, what did God do? He showed us grace while we were still deep in sin and quite unlovable. He didn't wait for us to behave rightly before he responded with grace and nether should we.

Even though we know this to be true, putting it into practice can be a challenge. In this episode, we will chat about what grace really is, why we sometimes fail in showing it, and some practical steps of how even in those difficult moments, how to respond to our husbands with grace.

In light of the unimaginable tragedy that has happened here in Texas, some of you have asked, "Where is God in all of this?" You're struggling to maintain your faith or to reconcile yourself against a God that you know loves His children, but then allows something like this to happen.

There is a lot of talk today about how husbands are not stepping up to be the spiritual leader of their family. How they are not taking the time pray with their wives or children, not leading in devotions, Bible study or in being the godly example we desire them to be.

As wives and moms, we are frustrated and discontent with this lack of spiritual leadership and in trying to get our husbands to step up to the plate to fulfill this role.

Today we’re going look at why men are not being the spiritual leader of their home, where our discontentment in this stems from, and how we can lovingly encourage them to embrace their God-given role as leaders.
