FantasyPros - Fantasy Football Podcast

Davis Mattek (host for Swolecast and TaekCast) joins forces with us as we all share our thoughts on which players make strong DFS plays. Ben Roethlisberger's high floor this week is worth paying up for (10:58) and Adrian Peterson figures to be a cheap source of guaranteed touches (19:35), but is it wrong to rank Emmanuel Sanders (27:07) above Demaryius Thomas (29:21)? In addition, Garrett Celek can be a sneaky GPP play (41:41), but can the same be said about Doug Martin (48:48), and is DeAndre Hopkins an overrated talent (53:38)? Sponsors:

Jeff Ratcliffe from Pro Football Focus hops on with us as we share our thoughts on which players we would consider either starting or sitting ahead of this week's matchups. Should Tom Brady owners look for alternative options this weekend (11:49) and is Jay Ajayi a glorified committee back or the bonafide top dog in that backfield (20:26)? Plus, should we panic about Amari Cooper (38:44), is Sammy Watkins already droppable (44:47), and are we overlooking Jack Doyle too much (53:57)? Sponsors:

With every game from Week 1 now in the books, which players would you be wise to snag from your league's waiver wire today? We're here to tackle that question for you in-depth, but the show kicks off with us breaking down the Greg Olsen (4:17), Aaron Rodgers (6:06), Delanie Walker (8:52), Leonard Fournette (14:19), and Doug Baldwin (15:13) injuries. How much FAAB should you spend on T.J. Yeldon (21:43), who the heck is Will Dissly (25:48), and can Ryan Fitzpatrick steal Jameis Winston's job (38:32)? Plus, will Phillip Lindsay (43:25) carry significant fantasy value moving forward, and did Jordan Wilkins do enough to keep Indy's starting RB job (46:29)?

Opening Sunday has come and gone, and it was one we likely won't forget for a long time! Joining us as our new Sunday co-host is FantasyPros writer, Dan Harris. Before diving into Sunday's games en masse, we take a small look at Thursday night's opener and analyze whether Jay Ajayi's productive performance alters his season-long outlook (4:34). Is Le'Veon Bell's return impacted by James Conner's impressive outing, and where should Conner be ranked moving forward (20:58)? Also, have we been undervaluing DeSean Jackson (35:01) and Mike Evans all along (35:51), how wrong were we about Tyreek Hill (43:38), and can Washington's offense be a lot more viable for fantasy than we thought (52:47)?

Football is back! Doug Norrie from Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings is with us as we give our favorite cash game and GPP plays for Week 1. Before digging in, our crew takes some time to explain what DFS is (8:41) and how players should approach cash games and GPPs (9:21). How well can we expect James Conner to perform if Le'Veon Bell is absent on Sunday (14:39) and how much consideration should you give Leonard Fournette and Joe Mixon in cash games (26:44)? Are A.J. Green and Keenan Allen (42:01) two wideouts you should build your DFS lineups around, and is Andy Dalton (59:44) someone you can rely on in cash games this week?

The NFL season is finally upon us! We'll be here before the first game each week to give you our thoughts on which guys you should start in your lineup or sit on your bench for the week. Before getting into the meat of the show, we break down some depth chart news and give you the latest on the Le'Veon Bell holdout (15:43). Should fantasy owners be concerned about Philip Rivers' historically underwhelming performances against Kansas City (25:59), and how problematic will Tennessee's run defense be for Kenyan Drake (32:47)? Also, is Sterling Shepard a startable wideout against Jacksonville (53:33), and which tight end should you be looking to stream if you're in a pinch (58:06)?

Tom Federico and David Hess from TeamRankings.com join us to share which strategies work best for being the last person standing in survivor pools (13:35) and winning your pick 'em contest (29:41). The last 20 minutes of the show are dedicated to breaking down our projections from last year (42:30), diving into our predictions for the new season (50:20) like whether the Jaguars are Super Bowl bound (52:39), and giving our most confident picks against the spread for Week 1 (55:42).

With the regular season quickly approaching, our hosts explore which commonly unowned players you would be wise to hold on to. However, we start the show going over the Khalil Mack trade (3:25 & 13:51) and debating who steps up in Jerick McKinnon's absence (7:24). Why does DeVante Parker (22:32) deserve to be rostered in all fantasy leagues? Does Anthony Miller have more upside than Chris Godwin (30:18)? How high is Corey Clement's potential (45:16) in Philadelphia if Jay Ajayi were to miss time?

Whether you've drafted already or not, we're talking late-round fliers that are worth stashing to start the season. Joining us for this show is Sigmund Bloom of Footballguys. The season is just about here and with that, we're looking at what to make of Royce Freeman sitting the final game of the preseason (3:36) and Ronald Jones's struggles. We then take turns naming our favorite fliers to snag at the end of drafts starting with T.J. Yeldon (9:12). Sigmund explains what you should be looking for in RB stashes (10:46), and we touch on a few other stashes like Anthony Miller (21:20) and Cordarrelle Patterson (25:24). To wrap up the show, we're running through our favorite QB streamers starting in Week 1 (38:36), how to pick your kickers and who's worth drafting (41:21), and what your strategy should be when considering defenses (47:18).

Justin Boone from theScore is with us as we share which players we are actively targeting and who we are steering clear of. Patrick Mahomes (14:17) may have high upside, but should his tough early-season schedule dampen your outlook? Does Alex Collins (27:48) have a stranglehold on the Ravens' starting running back job? With his ADP swiftly rising, does Amari Cooper (42:26) still have enough equity built into his ADP? Is Trey Burton (50:38) the tight end to aim for if you've missed out on the elite options? At the end of the show, our hosts go rapid fire and name players at each position they would want on their bench.
