FantasyPros - Fantasy Football Podcast

Jamey Eisenberg from CBS Sports joins the show as we discuss some of the larger discrepancies between his rankings and the Expert Consensus Rankings. Does Russell Wilson carry more risk than people realize (6:05), will Kerryon Johnson's talent earn him the lion's share of Detroit's backfield touches (18:32), and should fantasy owners fully buy into Marquise Goodwin's upside (30:30)? We end the show analyzing the latest news and ponder how long Alshon Jeffery's injury woes will linger (34:29) and whether fantasy owners should be concerned about Adam Thielen's leg injury (42:25).

Football Diehards' Bob Harris is with us as we shed some light on which players you will surely regret drafting. However, before we jump into that, we just can't understand why the Broncos have decided not to start Royce Freeman (8:13). It's hard to trust Devonta Freeman (25:29) with how much work he cedes to Tevin Coleman, Derrick Henry's (36:04) current situation is very similar to what he experienced last year, and Alshon Jeffery (47:41) is unjustly being taken as a top 30 WR.

Mike Wright from The Fantasy Footballers joins the crew as we each share which players could possess league-winning upside. But first, we decide how far Keelan Cole (5:00) should move up the rankings in the wake of Marqise Lee's season-ending injury. During the meat of the show, we all agree that New England's depleted receiving corps leaves Rob Gronkowski (19:50) with league-winning ability. Does Joe Mixon (25:41) truly possess elite potential behind a subpar offensive line, though? Also, Mark Ingram (33:40) may seemingly be primed to be an RB1 upon his return, but is Corey Davis' (55:48) upside limited by both his quarterback and the smorgasbord of other receiving options in Tennessee?

4for4.com's John Paulsen comes on the show to help shed some light on 12 different players who carry plenty of risk. What should we think of Andrew Luck's unimpressive preseason performances (12:32), how often will the 49ers use Jerick McKinnon (23:02), and is it wrong to underestimate Juju Smith-Schuster this year (36:14)? The episode ends with a segment on running back battles and which back fantasy owners should target (55:11). Will Sony Michel end up being the lead back in New England at some point (1:00:45) and what happens in the Green Bay backfield once Aaron Jones returns (1:04:38)?

It's the show you've been hoping for as we have Matt Harmon, creator of Reception Perception, and now an analyst for Yahoo! Sports, joining us to chat about wide receiver tiers. We're taking a deep dive to help you through all your questions regarding the position. Kicking things off at the top of the discussion is the first tier where their's little disagreement with who belongs in the group (6:01). The first question though is where does Keenan Allen fit (8:26)? We're also answering if the Vikings can support two WRs in the top 3 tiers (12:04), is T.Y. Hilton a better option than Tyreek Hill (13:55), why Matt doesn't like Amari Cooper (18:29), why Allen Robinson should be targeted (29:31), what should we think of Sammy Watkins (43:30), why Jordy Nelson shouldn't be ignored (49:39). We end the show talking about OUR guys that we personally want on our teams (55:18).

We spend today's show creating one fantasy roster full of players who are poised to bounce back from disappointing seasons last year, and another fantasy roster that is filled with players who we won't let burn us again. Drew Brees is primed for positive touchdown regression (13:55), Joe Mixon has superstar potential (17:19), and Amari Cooper should benefit as the focal point of a John Gruden offense (27:08). In contrast, Isaiah Crowell likely won't capitalize on whatever touches he receives (38:05), free agent Dez Bryant can't be trusted at this point (44:21), and Jay Ajayi's touches and talent are lacking (49:07). The end of the show is dedicated to your most commonly asked questions (54:24).

Jake Ciely from The Athletic joins the crew as we undertake a standard-scoring mock draft for you and share our thoughts and analysis on what's happening along the way. Should fantasy owners feel comfortable drafting Tyreek Hill as a high-end WR2 (10:58), and is taking Chris Hogan in the fifth round a reach (18:39)? Plus, will Latavius Murray be more than just a handcuff (41:21), and who is the WR to own in Jacksonville (43:18)?

Shedding light on sleepers who offer lots of upside with minimal cost is the focus of today's show, but first we gauge whether Adrian Peterson will have substantial fantasy value in Washington (3:30). Why are people still snoozing on Jets starting RB Bilal Powell (14:18)? Mike Williams may be one of the biggest steals in fantasy drafts this year (28:11) and James White could be in for a much bigger season than folks realize (37:37). Ronald Jones failing to claim Tampa Bay's starting RB job (57:35) and Ameer Abdullah starting in Detroit's second preseason game (1:04:26) are just a couple of the topics we discuss towards the end of the show regarding last weekend's NFL action.

Which late-round players have the potential to offer great production for little to no draft cost? John Ross should command a healthy chunk of targets as the Bengals' No. 2 WR (13:50), and Dante Pettis may have a shot to be San Francisco's best fantasy receiver (31:13), but can Brandon Marshall be a top-30 WR if he starts for Seattle (24:56)? We later spend the end of the show debating players we ranked differently, like Mitch Trubisky (41:49) and Derrick Henry (48:06).

We're scouring through our running back rankings and analyzing how we have them tiered. Should Ezekiel Elliott be taken after Leonard Fournette and Saquon Barkley (11:30), is Christian McCaffrey's upside capped (19:24), and will Jay Ajayi be a much larger part of Philadelphia's offense this season (30:35)? Towards the end, we name some late-round backs who might be worth targeting, like Jeremy Hill (56:46) and Doug Martin (58:57).
