“I recorded this while reporting a story on an urban farm that’s being turned into a community green space.”

“As a republican I probably shouldn’t have enjoyed this as much as I did – the bells in the village church were being rung this morning with muffled clappers so every other peak was soft.  The birds kept up their usual chatter in the garden as I stood there.  Recorded with Sennheiser Ambeo headset for binaural effect.”

“The sound of a distant night train reaches out to us over the barking dogs and the wind chimes at my parents’ house”

“Binaural recording using DPA 4060 matched pair & Sound Devices Mix Pre 3ii”

“I was recently given the gift of time and space, to blow at my own discretion, in Lydd on Sea, on the edge of Dungeness. I’ve visited half a dozen times over the last 12 years, the last being a month before the C19 Pandemic erupted.

This was a quiet time, where I tried to document in ink and audio the wind and howl and hum in front of the shack where I spent 48 hours watching the old power station and waiting for the small gauge train to come back again.”
