Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangelove is often cited as one of the all-time great satirical black comedies. With a stellar cast that includes Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, and a young James Earl Jones. The film sees a USAF General order an unauthorised nuclear strike on Russia, after seemingly going mad. It's down to a handful of men to try and stop it..or not. This week as the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution approaches we are joined by U.S. Antiques Roadshow expert and historian Joel Bohy to cover the 1988 Hallmark Hall of Fame movie 'April Morning' that was adapted from the revered 1961 novel of the same name.
