Chad Kelly has been a good friend of myself and the Heartland for a long time. I can always call Chad if I need a good group of horses for the students to work on and he'll deliver. He knows everyone. Having started a career in the corporate world, Chad found his way back to making a living with the noble animals that we all love.

David Sierra and I go back several decades, having been friends since the start. He has a farrier business in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has become an examiner for the American Furriers Association. We have had him as our examiner in the Heartland a couple of times, and I got to catch up with him in Reno at the 2023 AFA convention.

Joe is a farrier who came to the Heartland for some tuning up in the forge, and as the days rolled on, we had one thing after another in common. As I got to hear more of Joe's story, I realized that you needed to hear it too, so I talked him into sitting down for an interview.

Well, friends, let me tell ya, I've got a special one this time. If you've ever had an interest in outdoor cooking, you probably went to YouTube, and it would be almost impossible not to come across Cowboy Kent Rollins. I didn't have to watch but one or two of those videos and knew I'd found a kindred spirit. His presence when you're around him is incredible, but it comes across through the camera and onto the screen. He was way more down to earth, way more humble, and even way more likeable, if you can believe that, than he is on YouTube. I reached out and in no time I was able to secure a chance to interview this great American. We sat down for about 90 minutes and it felt like we had been friends my whole life.

Peter Kristiansen is a farrier from Denmark that I met many years ago when I did a clinic for Henrik Berger in Denmark. Peter and I hit it off and have had a long friendship through Facebook. He was in England for the BFBA Focus and I was able to get him to sit down with me for an interview.
