Mark Hickox is a highly intelligent and thoughtful heartlander who radiates success wherever he goes. He has worked in several fields and has brought his special brand of expertise to the farrier industry. As he built his first farrier business in Montana, he and I would often talk, and I was amazed at how he was able to create his business in such a short time. Life had other plans for Mark and his family, so he ended up on the other side of America, but the farrier industry is hard to leave, and Mark's story of coming back to it is a great one.

I've been blessed with the folks that I can call friends, and the great American Scott Robison stands like a giant amongst them. Scott and I have known each other since high school in the New Mexico Military Institute in 1984. While we weren't close friends at that time, being from that place and sharing what it was like to be a cadet was the common ground that we came together on in 2017, when I came down to do a clinic for Camp Cowboy at Robison Ranch in Copperras Cove.
I've gotten to know Scott better than the years since, and wow, what a life he's lived. Twenty three years in the Army, the Special Forces Greenbury soldier has been the epitome of achievement. Scott's got a lot of great stories you're going to really enjoy listening to.

I met Chad Chance while doing a clinic in Texas, as he will tell you. And even though he had been shooing horses for years, he took the industry by storm after that. He created a website called Hoof Watch and started producing videos that many of you have watched time and time again. Chad was in Calgary and I got the chance to sit down and find out what he's been up to and where he's going.
It was a great conversation that I'm sure you're going to enjoy.
