In the tradition of working with the best farriers in every country, I bring you Guy Karsh. This man is an Israeli farrier legend, and his work is world class. I met Guy while I was a clinician in Germany at the LUWEX, and we hit it off immediately. He invited me to Israel to do a clinic and took me into his home like I was a prodigal son. I had a great time, and saw places in the Holy Land that I had only read about. Let me introduce you to one of the world's great farriers, Guy Karsh.

My next guest was born in Texas in 1938 and has lived a life full of success that most can only dream of. Red Steagall was born to be a cowboy and touch and inspire the lives of millions through his music and poetry. Surviving polio at the age of 15, which damaged his shoulder to the point that he could not move his left arm, he still went on to become a famous guitar player and singer.

Red discovered Reba McEntire and blessed our world by exposing her beautiful talent. He has worked with and become friends with so many names that you would recognize like Wilford Brimley, Dean Smith, Roy Clark, Boots O'Neill, Buster Welch, Jim Shoulders etc.

Twenty three albums and hundreds of records later, Red still performs concerts and produces radio and television shows. I was honored and surprised that this great star was so willing to meet with me and help me move this podcast forward. My short time with Red is something that I will forever remember and treasure. His enormous presence comes through the microphone, as you are about to see, and I am certain that those of you that are not Red Steagall fans yet are about to become one. Our clearance is approved as filed. Enjoy the ride.

When it comes to great friends and colleagues, almost no one fits the bill for me better than Kevin Hatridge, CJF of Colorado. We can always pick up right where we left off, whether there's been two weeks or two years. Kevin was one of my top 12 featured mentors in my memoir for the Want of a Nail the Shoe was Lost.

It was high time we caught up, and you're invited behind the scenes. As Kevin and I discussed what it means to become an old farrier.

In my experience, the world is full of nice people regardless of the level of fame and popularity that they may have achieved. Well, no one exemplifies this more than master storyteller and author of 13 critically acclaimed novels, James Thayer. In my quest to learn more about the art of writing, I found Jim's book, the Essential Guide, writing a Novel, and then I found his podcast of the same name.

I learned so much from every exposure, so I reached out to Jim to see if he would be a guest on my podcast. The humble son of the Eastern Washington wheat farmer, lawyer, educator, and famous author said yes. It was a fantastic thing for me and you're gonna enjoy getting to know Jim.
