Making it work with what you have, Curtis didn't grow up with money, but now has 5 units on a single teacher income in Washington state. I often say "can one move change your life?", for Curtis, he says "can two moves change your life?"...his answer? YES! After buying some rental properties, Curtis fell in love with real estate to the point of now teaching AND being an agent. Becky and Rusty were a typical middle class family with a duplex and their single-family home.  Becky was a music teacher (public and private), while Rusty worked at the local paper mill near Roanoke Rapids (NC). As a family, their average gross salary per year ranged from 100k-125k per year. 

In part I, we talk about how the couple who has been married for 26 years met, their roles in the workplace, raising 3 kids, and how being a teacher can position you to make an even bigger impact with rental properties in the town you teach in.
