April is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Awareness Month and as a Nutritionist who LOVES digestion and hormones I had to bring some awareness to this condition.

I find that many clients I see have had this condition for years, meaning they are at a point where they are super inflammed, reacting to food, have skin conditions or allergies.

If we can bring more awareness to this condition then maybe those with IBS won't have to suffer for so long without treatment that can actually improve their quality of life

Did you know periods were meant to be pain free? Crazy right! We have been told for so long that it is just something you have to put up with if you are menstruating. Well I this does not have to be the case.

I have done a series of articles on this very topic recently and they have gotten so much attention I just had to put all the information together in a podcast episode for you.

Now whilst this is my story with Endo I do think anyone who is suffering with a condition that they have been battling with for sometime will hopefully find something in this that they can take away.

I dive into how it had impacted my life, what my symptoms were how they progressed and I also look back from the lens of my current knowledge to share with you how I believe I ended up here.

If you are a parent listening to this who has a daughter or my have a daughter in the future, I think my story may help you to help them not end up where I did.

This episode, whilst has a basis in the pain that is experienced by Endo suffers absolutely applies to anyone who has suffered with chronic pain. Some conditions that come to mind are fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, IBD's, chronic fatigue syndrome.

When we are experiencing pain on a regular basis we begin to feel so disconnected from our bodies. This disconnection really isn't helpful for our healing. Chelsea offers some wonderful insight and tools that can allow us to begin to feel connected to our bodies again.
