Skyler's business competes in a unique sector of the wine and whisky market as a reseller of used barrels and casks. Much of RMBC's business is selling "finishing" casks to producers and amassing a diverse stock of Rum, Sherry, Bourbon, and Port (and much more) casks to be sold for a second use. Sky's insights into both worlds of wine and spirits really ads color to a part of the industry that we knew very little about...He is also formally trained as a sommelier and talks a bit about how he uses his instincts for tasting, blending, and flavor pairing to advise clients toward the right casks for their final product.
