Well, we talk all things marriage as we come up on our 17 year Anniversary!  What causes people to move further apart and does resentment play an important role in this? Sacrifice, patience, and being self-aware enough to know what your partner needs and doesn't need.

Children, unimaginable love and unimaginable pain both enter the equation when children enter the home.

And we close with the agreement that Kim and I have with each other, and why it allows us to speak honestly and freely with each other without taking offence or feel like we are being belittled.

I start this episode bragging about my son.  Deal with it. ;)

Joking aside, we start talking about how he has really embraced his football, nutrition, workouts, all of it.  He takes it very serious and is fully committed.  But there is one aspect at 15 years old that he hasn't grasped yet.

He's not sold on the idea of reading or listening to personal development.  And in his defence, I'm not sure I would have at 15 either? But we had the conversation about it and I could tell it wasn't resonating with him like something like lifting weights as part of his success plan i Football. He couldn't connect the two.

But I did make this statement to him: "I don't know many, if ANY, successful people in my world who don't do Personal Development." And I meant it.

It's not an "add on" habit to success. It's not an "extra".  It's a necessity. Period.

And I think this lesson and advice is for EVERYONE. 

So I'm trying to increase his exposure to Personal Development and figure out what will resonate for HIM, because like all of us, what I may find interesting you may not, and I believe sometimes it takes some time to realize what you love and what helps you PERSONALLY.

A book not resonating with you? Stop it and move to the next thing.  It's all good, this can be a trial and error process.

No, we do not talk NFL Fantasy football draft strategy. :) But it is part of a greater discussion.

We are back in the studio after a LONG time.  And it felt amazing.

We did our last episode in seperate rooms at home and not facing each other and sharing each other's energy and we really felt disconnected. So it was good to be back in studio, it's important to us.

On this episode we discuss officially closing on our house and all the feelings that come from that both personally and professionally.  As you know, moving is multi-faceted, and we both raised both our children in that house, but we also raised our businesses there.  It's full of energy, good and bad, like everything, and it was a lot to process for the both of us.

We also get deep as I personally share some struggles I've been having and I openly admit that Kim is further along on her healing journey than I am.  Sometimes that's hard to admit.  Kim beautifully shares how to have AGENCY over your actions and yourself and the radical responsibility in that.  "No one is coming to save you." isn't a threat or warning...it's simply a blunt statement saying, YOU have control and are incredibly powerful to change the direction of your life.  Support from friend's and your spouse is necessary, but TRUE saving, healing, and growing, that's an internal mission that YOU have to lead.

We end talking about CHANGE. And CONSENT. And how Kim and I have made a recent commitment to aggessively alter some of the things we are doing.  We BOTH had to consent to that change as the first step.

After a bit of a summer hiatus and now in a new home and new town we are back.

It's been WAY too long, and while maybe we should apologize for the break (Sorry!) life happens and it's been a season for us.  But we are here, we are ready to serve, and as always we hope there is value for you here today.

This led us to the discussion about energy. We all know what traditional energy is, but just how deep do you believe energy goes in terms of people, manifestation, mood, and law of attraction?  

I also share one of my biggest worries about children and the future generation of adults.  How will technology and Social Media impact their Social skills as they move into adulthood?

Paradigms, your subconscious, how deeply rooted you are in how you were raised are discussed between Kim and I and how it impacted our relationship, how we communicate, and how being conscious and understanding this allowed us to make changes in ourselves to have a better relationship and understand each other.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT? HOW DO YOU WANT TO LIVE THIS LIFE?"

These questions are essential to ask yourself to grow and truly realize where you want to go and HOW will you do that?  Because hope isn't a plan, but action steps are, and definitive action aligned with the answer to how you want to live your life can be really impactful.

Kim also discusses energy, serenity, and how being calm in nature and the energy that comes from that can help you in life and business.
