I am so excited to talk to you about (in my opinion) the ultimate self-care, self-healing practice there is. It's a practice that has truly changed the trajectory of my Being..... Meditation
But realizing the power and impact that meditation had on my life didn't come until months and months later.
Here's the thing... you don't eat a salad one day after a lifetime of eating fast food every day and all of a sudden lose 20 lbs, have more energy more of the time, and heal your gut health. You will most likely feel better in the moment, but you reap the bigger rewards later on and with consistency. This is the same concept for meditation. You don't meditate just once and all of a sudden reap the benefits of less stress, less anxiety, more patience, more calm, and so many others that will positively impact other areas of your life. You will likely feel better, less stressed, and more calm in the moment after just one meditation practice. But the real benefits from meditation come from all of the consistent, seemingly insignificant short practices over a period of time.
I talk about how I got started meditating, how the practice has helped me, my current practice, and common preconceived thoughts.... thoughts I also once had.
These thoughts and beliefs included:
I also share a few specific examples of how meditation has helped those in my social media community.

A daily reminder...
"Always choose kindness no matter what. Behind every smile are battles you know nothing about. A smile can hide so much and fool anyone."
Choosing Kindness in a frustrating situation, irritated mood, or in responding to a rude person is easier said than done but well worth the practice in the long run, and the short run.
People won't always remember what you say, but how you make them feel. And we have a pretty powerful opportunity to bring in a little more joy into someone's life with just a little more kindness, even if in those moments, WE are having a bad day. You'll feel better and they will likely feel better....and who knows, maybe it will make all the difference for that one person.

"We truly only ever have the present moment. And if we're constantly thinking about and waiting to get to some future moment, then we're never fully living in the present. We're never fully here because we're always busy trying to get somewhere else. So then, the present moment gets treated as if it's an obstacle to overcome."
