1. Two more deaths were confirmed Tuesday from the Halloween stampede in Itaewon, raising the death toll to 156. South Korean President, Yoon Suk-yeol, said the government will conduct a combined safety inspection of regional festivals in Korea starting Thursday.
2. South Korea’s exports decreased by 5.7 percent in October compared to the same period last year, marking the first on-year decline in 2 years since October 2020. South Korea also posted a trade deficit for seven straight months.
3. A UN draft resolution, led by the European Union, condemning North Korea’s human rights issues, was submitted to the 77th UN General Assembly on Monday. According to South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, South Korea has co-sponsored the draft resolution.
