  • Is It Soda, Pop, Or Soda Pop?

With Lindsey on vacation, Food Fight! is visited by frequent guest host (and Kirk’s teenage son), Theo Pynchon to discuss all things soda, pop, soda pop…soft drinks? Whatever you want to call it, the two debate what food goes best with soda, what food you should NEVER drink with soda, bottle vs. can, ice vs. no ice, is Cherry Coke overrated, what are the best (and worst) fruit-flavored sodas, which weird flavored sodas would they be willing to try, and then Kirk challenges Theo to see if he can taste the difference between Coke and Pepsi AND Diet Coke vs. Diet Pepsi. (Note: Theo’s pretty damn cocky about this.)

  • Fine Dining Food Auction Part II: This Time It’s Personal

Exactly ten episodes ago, Kirk and Lindsey did a fine dining food auction to see who could create the best seven-course meal. It…did not go well. Lindsey was perfectly okay with never doing another one again. Kirk? Not so much. So, much like Hollywood giving a sequel to a movie no one asked for, they are doing it again! Will they get this fine dining food auction right this time? (Doubtful…very doubtful.)

  • No…Seriously…What Would You Do For A Klondike Bar?

We are waist-deep into summer right now, and things are mind-numbingly HOT. So why not cool off with some ice cream truck treats? That’s what Kirk and Lindsey are doing, so join them as the debate what’s the best flavor of popsicle (spoiler: it’s not grape), ice cream sandwiches vs. ice cream on a stick, bomb pops vs. firecracker pops, what’s harder on your teeth — chocolate chip cookie sandwich or chocolate frozen banana, why are cartoon-character ice cream treats so janky-looking, are Snickers ice cream bars the greatest invention ever, and Kirk makes Lindsey cringe (more so than usual) when he takes a bite out of his favorite ice cream truck treat from his childhood.

  • Is Matcha Green Tea Flavor The New Pumpkin Spice?

Matcha has been around forever but in the past five or six years it’s really become a big trend, and it seems like any food that can be made is now made with matcha green tea. It’s like pumpkin-spice’s underrated, alternative little sister. So for this episode, Kirk and Lindsey are talking ALL the things that are made with matcha, are they good, are they worth it, which matcha green tea foods are delightful, which are straight trash, and has matcha green tea-flavored food, like it’s basic older sister pumpkin spice, gotten completely out of control?

  • Some Food Duos Are Relationship Goals…Others Need To Breakup NOW

There are foods that have a meet cute, fall in love, and stay together forever (chocolate and mint). Other foods seem like a nice couple until you realize they should have never hooked up in the first place (burgers and potato chips). And still others food duos are just a straight-up booty call (Brussel sprouts and bacon). Yup, on this episode, Kirk and Lindsey take it to another level and talk about food dating, specially, which food duos were meant to be together, which food duos could use some couples’ therapy, and which food duos should just have swiped left on each other.

  • Yeah…Burnt Hot Dogs Are the BEST

It’s Summer and that means it’s hot dog season! (Hot dogs have seasons, right?) Kirk and Lindsey debate if a hot dog is a sandwich, are they better or worse than burgers, are hot dogs and sausages cousins or half-siblings, why burnt hot dogs are the best, does the bun even matter, why putting ketchup on a dog when you’re an adult is straight-up wrong, and then the two go through a list of regional hot dogs to decide if they’d try only a bite, eat the whole damn thing, or just kick it out of bed. (Spoiler: Sorry, Seattle.)

  • A Charcuterie Board, A Girl Group, And Thou

Kirk and Lindsey are now fully vaccinated, so to celebrate, for the FIRST TIME in Food Fight! history, the two get together in the same room to record an episode! More importantly, the two feast on a charcuterie board AND a cheese board. MOST importantly, Kirk makes Lindsey reveal all of the stories from the time she spent in a girl group called Swept Away, and when she played a Spice Girl for kids’ birthday parties. All of this is about to get DELICIOUS.

  • 93.7% Of Buffets Are Buffets Of Sadness

The levels of sadness when going to a buffet run deep. There are just so many variables to consider when gorging at a buffet that when added up you are inevitably let down. Luckily, Kirk and Lindsey are here, as the two dive deep into the land of the buffet, discussing the psychology behind it, how “Big Buffet” is trying to scam you, the best buffet strategies, why it’s so important to do a “dry run” before making any food decisions, carving station tips, leaning into the food coma that follows a buffet trip, and how if you aren’t overeating at a buffet, then you are doing it WRONG.

  • Fact: Cold Leftovers Taste Better Than Reheated Leftovers

No one likes leftovers more than Kirk (just ask him). So this episode is near and dear to his heart. For Lindsey…it’s just another day dealing with Kirk. But the two discuss why certain people don’t like leftovers, what does it say about them as human beings, can you be in a relationship with someone who won’t eat leftovers, what’s the best leftover (spoiler: it ain’t pizza), what’s the best cold leftover (spoiler: it still ain’t pizza) what’s the worst leftover, why Kirk thinks all leftovers should be consumed cold (yes, even spaghetti), and what’s the one leftover Kirk will reheat. Oh, and apropos of nothing, the two get into a fight about eating sandwiches at the beach.

  • BBQ Sauce Is Better On A Hot Dog Than Ketchup

This week’s episode is all about condiments. It’s also, for some inexplicable reason, about healing crystals and moons. (Don’t ask.) Kirk and Lindsey try to figure out what is the true definition of a condiment (Is salt a condiment? Is pepper? BUTTER????), rank the types of mustard, debate if Sriracha has jumped the shark, discuss what the hell relish is used for, talk why mayo is a necessary evil, attempt to give pesto the love it deserves, and have a huge fight over why BBQ sauce is better than ketchup on a hot dog. Hmmm…maybe they did need those healing crystals after all.
