On June 26, 2023, Sergeant First Class Ashley Henning was celebrating her 37th birthday with her family and a few close friends. But what was meant to be a happy occasion ended in tragedy, when home surveillance footage captured Jordan Henning, her husband and also a soldier, shooting and killing his wife, before fleeing the scene. 

Jordan Henning was subsequently charged with murder by the state of Kentucky and he would have his day in court in March 2025, where he would testify in his defense that he was a battered husband who suffered at the hands of his wife. 

Jordan’s testimony was NOT corroborated by anyone who knew the couple. And the video surveillance footage also painted a different story. 

When the jury returned their verdict, everyone was shocked. Was there really justice for Ashley Henning, a 20-year Army veteran?
