Torah Portion "'נִצָּבִים/Netzavim" which means "You Are All Standing" delivered on September 4, 2021.This week's portion covers Deuteronomy/Devarim 29:10-30:20 and begins, "All of you are standing today before יהוה your Elohim: your leaders, your tribes, your elders and your officers, all the men of Yisra’ĕl,"This week's Torah portion is Nitzavim, which means, You are standing, or Standing in firmness. Pastor Richard teaches about the thousand of years it has been that we are waiting for the Messiah to return. He shows that since Adam to Moses was also thousands of years. We get discouraged but we stand in firmness and in strength. The message is that strength comes from the threshold (the doorpost). This represents the Mezuzah, the Shema, the blood and the covenant. We must stand in firmness for what is coming. Israel will not be consumed - by HaShem's will they will endure despite many calamities that will come.Pastor Richard shows that in order to be the people of HaShem we must stand in firmness to the Torah. Without the Torah we do not follow the paths that are sanctioned by HaShem, but we follow the way of our own heart, which is of Satan. He concludes with verses that give an understanding of sin, with a biblical definition of sin - Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). May this teaching bring you Shalom! This week our Haftorah teaching is delivered by Brother Mark from Isaiah 61:10-63:9, and the New Covenant teaching is also delivered by Brother Mark from Romans 9:30-10:13.We hope and pray that you find blessing in our teachings. And we ask that you please join us each week as we dig deep into scripture to learn more about who our God is, and reveal the Messiah throughout the Old Testament.Pastor Richard CortesThe Foundation of The Word Outreach Ministrieswww.thefoundationoftheword.org
